Communication:

Costa Rica has an overall good communication system.

  • Telephones - main lines in use: 1.437 million (2007)
  • Telephones - mobile  cellular:1.503 million (2007)
  • Internet country code: .cr
  • You can also make long-distance calls and send or receive faxes at Radiográfica Costarricense or use one of many new internet cafes.

  • Internet hosts: 16,440 (2008)
  • Internet users:  1.5 million (2007)

       while the 199 cards ($10, $20 or 3000 colones) are for international calls and have instructions in English. 

 

 

Transportation 

There are many modes of Transportation in Costa Rica

They  have cars in Costa Rica and they can rent one too. Car rental is popular because a car can get you places you can’t get to by public transportation. It also gives you the freedom to travel when you want and to stop wherever you like.    

They have taxis that look  like buses and they are cheaper.
